FULL-TIME SUPERINTENDENT/ FOREMAN / CARPENTER POSITION

We specialize in Residential and Institutional / Commercial / Industrial (ICI) construction throughout Eastern Ontario. We are currently seeking a Superintendent/ Foreman/ Carpenter with a passion for residential & ICI construction to join our growing team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• General construction duties as required for residential and commercial projects
• Steel and Wood stud framing
• Rough carpentry
• Read and interpret construction drawings
• Coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors
• Assist in creating and monitoring short term schedules
• Inspecting work in progress to ensure it confirms to required specifications & code requirements
• Layouts
• Delegation of tasks to fellow team members
• Assist trades and suppliers when required

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• A Minimum of 5-10 years of related residential or commercial construction experience
• Sound knowledge of construction practices
• Ability to work unsupervised and lead work crews
• Working knowledge of all trades associated with residential construction
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand and communicate construction drawings to other crew members
• An understanding of the Ontario Building Code as it applies to construction
• Must possess strong communication skills
• Ability to work with trades and clients
• Valid G-License
• Clean driving abstract
• Hard working, highly motivated, honest and reliable individual
• Must provide their own standard construction tools and PPE (steel-toe boots, hammer, tool belt, measuring tape, circular saw, reciprocal saw)
• Construction Training Courses (i.e.Working at Heights, Propane, Traffic Control, etc.) are assets.
